In order to become a member, start by opening a savings account. To open an account, call us at 610-352-2000 or visit our branch during business hours.


Membership Eligibility
 

In order to apply you will need the following items:

  • State identification card with your current address.
  • Social security number.
  • Work ID from one of the Select Employee Groups below.
  • If you are not employed by one of our select employee groups, please have the name of the relative who is a current member that is referring you to ForgeCU.
  • $5 deposit in cash or money order.

Once a member, always a member.


Family Member Eligibility:
Immediate family members of current Forge Credit Union members are eligible to join, including parents, siblings, spouses, children, grandparents, grandchildren, step-parents, step-children, step-siblings. Spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of this credit union.

Those who live in the same household as a current Forge member. Organizations of those listed below.

Select Employer Groups (SEGs) Eligibility

A Select Employer Group is a group of employees that work for a particular company that are eligible to be members of Forge Credit Union as a company benefit to their employees.

If you are employed or associated with the following organizations then you are eligible for membership. In addition, persons retired as pensioners or annuitants of the employment below are also eligible for membership.

SEPTA
Suburban Transit Division, who work in Delaware, Chester or Montgomery Counties, PA
City Transit Division, who work in the Market-Frankford Elevated Train Shops and Yards in Upper Darby, PA
Upper Darby Township
Upper Darby Township Fire Companies (including volunteers)
Haverford Township
Haverford Township Fire Companies (including volunteers)
DELCO Child Day Care Association, Delaware County, PA
United States Postal Service
Postal employees who work in or are paid or supervised from Montgomery, Chester, Philadelphia or Delaware counties, Pennsylvania


Important Information About Procedures For Opening A New Account

What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
